Believers vs. Protectors

Here I am talking about parents and how they might treat their children. What brought this up, is something happened to me. The other day, I was on my way back with one of my frien...erm, I’d rather say with someone =) . It was already a little bit late. Anyhow, I was surprised of how her parents treat her. If she asks permission to go out from the house from her dad, then it is really hard and a lot of questions will be involved. But if she asks permission to go out from her mom, permission is guaranteed! So coming back to my topic and its weird title, parents might let their kids do a lot of things freely, go out, experience new things, without questioning too much. So I call this kind of parents ‘Believers’. On the other hand, parents might constraint and limit the activities that their child might do, and tell them what to do more frequently. I call them ‘Protectors’. Believers care mostly about the feeling of their children. Therefore, they allow their children to do more things

Very nice song, I like the beat and the lyrics...A little surprised that you have not heard of it before? Well, somehow it is not common. I had to prepare the file and upload to youtube myself!

Automotive Styling Methodologies

This is the name of the subject which I took in my previous semester. And to tell the truth, it is the subject that I enjoyed most during my entire time in this university. It carries 3 credit hours, does not have any tests (even no final exam), no assignments. You have to do only one design, one model, and one presentation. The course was really fun, because it does not require you to use much of the left side of your brain. No calculations to do. No formulas to memorise. And not too much information about styling is taught in the class, only the basics. Therefore, the subject is just a matter of creativity in your design, which comes from the right side of your brain. My design got the 2nd best in the class, and it was named “ La Tartaruga ”. The picture of the model can be found in my facebook account. The lecturer taught us to look at the car designs from a different perspective. He said: “Every time you see a car on the street, try to look at it with a stylist eye.” By the way,

Friendship

In this life, nothing is absolute. Even something really good like friendship, has its negatives. Sometimes, having a friend who has common with you, always there for you, even that can be bad. Friends influence each other; good people spread goodness around them while bad people spread wickedness around them. Differentiate between being colleagues, classmates, and neighbours and between being friends. Of course, the first three can lead to a true friendship, but they by themselves are far away from friendship. Friendship last forever. When you become a friend with someone, you will be friends forever. But on the other hand, you cannot remain classmate, workmate forever with someone. I am already off the topic...I wanted to share about friendship, in particular, how friends influence each other. For an instance, if your friend is practicing robbery, you should forbid him as a good friend. Keep on advising your friend not to steal, never lose hope in your friend. But if it happens and

Final Exams Bring More Harm Than Good?

Last week, I was having a small talk with one of my senpais (seniors)...and we happened to talked about the idea or the concept of final exams. He told us that one of his lecturer’s says: “Final exams produce robots only. I don’t want robots in my class”. I took a couple of moments to think about that what he said. And to some extent, it is true. The lecturers put some weight of the marks on the final exams. It can go up to 60% of the total mark. They think or hope that, this amount of mark is easy to score by the students, because they had enough time to prepare from the beginning of the semester. And that’s why some lecturers bring questions that might give students a heart attack. That’s what they think that the students would do. However, most of the students do not study from the beginning of the semester. And at the end, they have to finish reading several textbooks in a time period of one week which is the last week of the semester or the so called revision period. And as we k

My Greatest Gift to My Parents

No matter how much I do, I wouldn’t be able to fully pay back my parents for what they did for me...But the greatest thing that I can do to them, that I will be the reason that one day, they will be made to wear a crown, no kings or queens in this world have ever worn such a crown... Interested??! Do you feel like you want to do the same with your parents? This is not an easy task to do, yet it is not impossible. It just needs sincerity, patience and determination. You have to strive for the rest of life, in order to achieve this goal...It consists of two major steps, I finished the first one in approximately two years, and now I have to spend the rest of my life working hard to accomplish the second part... Ok...Enough puzzles and enough manipulating with words...How to do this? Read the following, slowly and carefully...Abu Dawood narrated that the prophet (peace be upon him) said: "He who memorizes the Qur’an and practices upon it, Almighty Allah will permit his parents to we

My Mother's Eight Lies

My mother says the truth? Not always... My dear mother had lied to me, eight times! And every time she did, she broke my heart.  This is my story... I was born in a very poor family, and I was the only son. We didn’t have enough money and food. Once when I was a kid, we were so starved but luckily managed to find some rice. I noticed that she was giving me her portion of the rice. She said: “Dear son, eat the rice, I am not hungry”... And that was her first lie... A couple of years have passed...My family situation got better but still it is not good. My mom, after doing her housework, used to go for fishing, hoping to catch some fish for me to eat and nurture me. Once, she managed to catch two fishes. Immediately, she hurried to the home and quickly made the dinner. She put both of them in front of me. I started to eat one of them slowly...and she was only taking what remains around the bones. My heart was shaken, I gave her the other fish but she returned it to me saying: “Son, eat
