Ten General Skills will Help You in Campus

Image
1- Reading: start at the front, go page by page (both sides), until you reach the end of the chapter. Repeat this process until you reach the end of the book. 2- Writing: typically, you do the outline before you write the paper. 3- Arithmetic: learning to add, subtract, multiply, and take percents are most difficult but valuable skills in surviving many courses. 4- Basic computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, graphing and charting, database managers, Internet browsers, etc. 5- Note-taking, outlining, note-editing, exam preparation skills. 6- When to show up on time. 7- Who to smile at. 8- Where to never show up, and who to avoid at all costs. 9- Be nice to people, in general, and especially the people who run the place. 10- How to keep a positive attitude. This is the most important of all survival skills.

Mother vs. Wife

An interesting title in a local newspaper few days ago...Unfortunately; I didn’t get the chance to read it. I’ve heard about it from my Ustaz (Lecturer of Laws of Family in Islam). Anyhow, many incidents related to this issue happened around me, the past few weeks...Some of which I can share here and some I cannot. One day, I was with my supervisor doing my project; we went to the lab and found other people already there, doing their own project. One of them was putting his hand phone while doing his work. My supervisor smiled, and pointed to his phone, as the picture of his girlfriend appeared in the screen saver. Last week, we were working in another lab with a group of my friends. Me and one of them felt very bored and decided to call and prank one of our best friends. Long story short, he handed me his phone, “Going to the toilet, if he calls, reply.” as we were expecting a call for that friend. Then added “Don’t look at my fiancée’s picture”, in the back ground.

A Little Break

Image
Welcome back everyone! It's been a while, eh? Miss me? Oh stop it, you! Anyhow, many many things are happening in my life these days. Hardly I have time to update my blog and read my friends updates. And right now, I am just taking a little break while running the analysis of my project simulation. Thus, I don't have much time to spend here. So I will just list down the keywords of what has been going on in my life lately...Job Opportunities, My future life partner, Phd and Masters degree, SUKIPT challenge, SHODAN grading, and many others that I cannot share here ;) That's all for now! I think this will be the shortest post ever in my blog! Simulation of frontal impact of a hatchback vehicle.

A Little Angel

A very wonderful soothing recitation of the Holy Qur'an, by a 12 years old girl. When I watch this and see the situation of some other Muslim girls, I feel sorry and pity on them, busy with singing, love, dancing and nudity. May Allah bless you little sister, honor you, and make you one of the women of Jannah. I pray to Allah that he will bless me with a little daughter like this girl, whose heart is filled with the light of Qur'an. And I pray to Allah that he will bless me with a women that will illuminate my heart with the light of Qur'an. Rabbanaa hab lanaa min azwaajinaa wa thurriyyaatinaa qurrata a’ayun waj’alnaa lilmuttaqeena imaama Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders of the Muttaqun (the pious) [Al Furqan:74]

In The End

Image
You can't bargain with the truth 'Cause whether you're right or you're wrong We're gonna know what you've done We're gonna see where you belong in the end You can't bargain with the truth 'Cause whether you are black or you're white We're gonna know who's right We're gonna see you in the light in the end Oh and every little thing you do You better know it's coming back to you You can't bargain with the truth 'Cause one day you're gonna die And good's going high And evil's going down in the end You can't bargain with the truth 'Cause whether you're old or young We're gonna see what you've done There'll be nowhere else to run in the end You can't bargain with the truth 'Cause whether you're rich or you're poor You're gonna meet at the same door You're gonna know the real score in the end And i

Smile of Hope

I was writing about something else, and then I took a break, and watch this video. Right away I changed my mind. Open my university website, planned my schedule for next semesters carefully, so it doesn’t clash with my part time job, and then ask some friends for any vacant job opportunity that fits me. Truly, life is impossible without hope.  And there is not a single soul in this earth lives without hope…hope in God, hope in family, or hope in friends.  Those who lose hope will lose their lives. Despair…is the killer in every single suicide incident. Life is not easy, and nothing is free. Once you get out of the study life, you get out of the comfort zone, and you step in real life. Real life is very hard, and you have to work and strive to survive there. The earlier you realize this fact, the better it is for you.

Me

I rarely put any detailed or direct information about myself. Because it would be so boring and insignificant. However, here I give you a chance to know me better while using your imaginations in the same time. Each of the following fiction characters resembles mine in at least one way. Incomplete Journey

Open house at my place today. While I was helping my mother in the kitchen, my younger brother called me saying that someone wants to meet me. Someone whom I didn't recognize, seemed really happy seeing me...He was one of my students five years ago, he surely have grown up! It was hard to manage 50 people unexpectedly coming to your house. The friends of my brothers, the friends of my brother's wife, the friends of my mother, the friends of my sister, all of them coming simultaneously. It was like a rush hour. However, everything was fine alhamdulillah. When you are different, people will remember you. Even if you are different in a weird, or a stupid way. We served meat that day, and one guy refused to eat it. Anyhow, we were well prepared and hurried to heat up a frozen chicken soup. However, before we managed to serve the chicken for him, he already had finished eating! Wonders of the this world, someone who doesn't eat meat, eats the gravy of that meat! Th

Rest in Mercy of Allah

The elderly lady in the picture is Umm as-Sa’ad. She was born 1925 and memorised the Quran at the age of 15. By the age of 25 she had the shortest chains of recitation (Ijzazh) to the Prophet sala Allahu Alihi wasSalam in the 10 modes of recitation. She is a PIVOTAL point in Quranic instruction in Egypt and Alexandria in particular. From Abdul Basit Abdul Samad to Mishary al-Afaasi…all have recited the Quran upon her seeking approval to teach and recite. Allah have mercy on her, she recently past away at close to 90 years old. May Allah reward her for her service to the Quran. Since 1950 she has taught and licensed in memorization of the quran over 100,000 students. She married one of her students. She was not blessed with any children through her nearly 50 years of marriage. She would say, “Allah barred me from children and  their responsibility, so that I can teach his Word to the children of others.” She also said: “I feel that my memorization of the

Journey vs. Destination

Image
A wise man said to his student: "There is something I wanted to show you since the first day we met. Tomorrow morning, be prepared. We are going hiking." The following day, after three hours of walking in natural environments...mountainous or other scenic terrain. On the top of a mountain, the wise man said: "Now, we are here." "Here? What did you want to show me?" The student asked. The wise man pointed to a rock lying beside his foot saying: "There, next to your foot." "Is there something special about this rock?" Asked the student. He burst in anger as he heard his master's negative answer. "Is this what I was finally ready to see?" The student yelled in anger. "Well, the whole trip you were excited and happy. You were like a kid in a holiday morning. You've said it yourself. The whole trip made you feel good. What changed that?" Wise man replied. "Because I thought I was goi

Karate Girl

A Saudi Karate Practitioner taught two young men who flirted her an unforgettable lesson in manners! The courage and skills of this women astonished all the costumers in the mall! In Saudi Arabia, City of Al-Jubail. A 30 years old women taught two young men an unforgettable lesson in manners in the middle of the shopping mall center, with hundreds of witnesses! At the evening, when they tried to sexually harass her, she replied with a couple of strong punches and a number agonizing of kicks, as she demonstrated a practical application of self-defense of the martial art of karatedo! The lessons that she was taught in karatedo and her previous training were a reliable assistant and a good aid which made the two men run hopelessly from her. This lady, with her fatal punches and kicks, had changed the stereotype image of a girl running and being helpless when being sexually harassed or abused. As she made these two guys run away and search for a place to hide from her, the wh

The Possessor of the kingdom

Say: "O Allah! Master of the kingdom! You give the kingdom to whom You will, and You take the kingdom form whom You will, and You endue with honor whom You will, and You humiliate whom You will." Al-‘Imran:26 I remember at this time last year, I gave an amount of RM X00 as my zakat. But this year, I didn’t give my zakat or I’d rather say I don’t have to give zakat as I don’t have the Nisab (minimum amount of money which determines the payment of zakat). If someone would go though my wallet and my bank accounts, he would say that I am having financial problems. This is because the main source of my income is temporary off. However, I’ve been living and surviving for almost 4 months like this, how? Although I didn’t ask for a job, out of nowhere someone offered me a temporary one, which becomes a source of income for me. Alhamdulillah, I liked the nature of this job. So I wasn’t looking at it from the ‘work’ point of view. It was a temporary job anyway, now I
