Steps to Prosperity

At 2:35 am, he called me, asked me whether I'm free or not, then invited me to read Qur'an with him. After I went to meet him and opened a Mus'haf, he said: "Let's pray tahajjud together!" Then after we finished everything, he invited me for Suhur, on his treat! :) Alhamdulillah, I still have some friends like him. I'm mean the type that calls me for company him in good deeds. The last time a friend invited me to do as such good deed was long long time ago...Thank you my friend, and JazakaAllah. What am I posting the previous video? Well, what happened to me reminded me with this story of Sheikh Al-Areefi. The sheikh didn't expect that such a girl would go for prayer, and I did not expect such a guy would call me and invite me to prayer.

A wise old man sets by the river, contemplating the surrounding beauty. Suddenly, he notices a scorpion falling into the water, and struggling to survive. The old man decides to help the scorpion. As soon as he moves his hand toward the scorpion to hold it, it frightens and stings him back. The old man screams out of pain and pulls back his hand. However, he tries a second time and the scorpion stings him again. Another young man, is setting nearby the river and notices the whole thing. He shouts to the old man. “Haven’t you learnt from the first time? And now you are trying to save it again and again?” The old man ignores him, and keeps trying again and again and the scorpion is stinging him every time he tries…until finally he manages to saves it. After he saves the scorpion, he walks towards the other man and pats his shoulder. “Oh young man, one of the scorpion's traits is to sting and one of mine is to love. Why would I let its traits overcome mine?”

عن معاذ بن أنس رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "من قرأ القرءان وعمل بما فيه ألبس الله والديه تاجا بوم القيامة ضوءه أحسن من ضوء الشمس في بيوت الدنيا فما ظنكم بالذي عمل هذا." رواه أبن داوود..ـ وعن ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "من قرأ حرفا من كتاب الله فله حسنة والحسنة بعشر أمثالها." رواه الترمذي..ـ وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "ما اجتمع قوم في بيت من بيوت الله تعالى يتلون كتاب الله ويتدارسونه بينهم إلا نزلت عليهم السكنية وغشيتهم الرحمة وذكرهم الله فيمن عنده" رواه مسلم..ـ وينبغي للقارئ أن يراعي الأدب مع القرءان بأن يستحضر في نفسه أن يناجي الله تعالى، وأن يكون على طهارة في مكان نظيف، وأن يستقبل القبلة وأن يجلس بسكينة ووقار، وإذا أراد الشروع بالقراءة استعاذ من الشيطان الرجيم، فإذا شرع فليكن شأنه الخشوع والتدبر، قال تعالى: "أفلا يتدبرون القرءان" ، ويستحب البكاء مع القراءة من التهديد والوعيد الشديد والمواثيق والعهود ثم يتأمل تقصيره في ذلك، فإن لم يحضره حزن وبكاء على ذل
