Science and Faith
If you live
in the second or third floor, you would take the elevator, rather than walking
up the stairs. Even if you have to wait for it. But if you are going out from
your place, you would just take the stairs down if the elevator is full. Why?
Simply because you know that going up the stairs is much difficult than going
down. Why? Because of something that we name as "gravity".
Sir Isaac
Newton, the infamous scientist who "discovered" the gravity. Some
uneducated people might mistakenly use the word "created." Now, if
someone comes and denies gravity, you would say he is mad, of course. How can
you deny something we see with our eyes every day. The apply falls from the
tree, because of gravity. Well, both of you are wrong. Gravity does exist, but
we cannot see it.
What we
observe or see, is the effect of gravity. And through which we established that
there is something unseen, that makes the apple falls on the ground. We do not
know how it works, or why it works like that, but we call it..."gravity".
Now, if Mr.
Scientist believes there is gravity. I say he should believe in a God as well.
We cannot see him, be we see the effects everywhere, we do not know how He does
or what He does, but let's just call him..."God".
The
perfectness of this universe, how the galaxies and the celestial bodies move in
order, how the atoms are arranged, how balanced is the nature, how magnificent
is our bodies, cannot lead you to conclude that there is a Creator, but when an
apple falls from a tree, you conclude that there is gravity?
